This piece plays with contrast—cool, layered teals and deep green-blues above, grounded by a band of bright yellow-green that gives way to a field of earthy reds and rust below. The textures are built up slowly with wax and pigment, creating a sense of movement and depth.

There’s a quiet tension between the upper and lower halves, like water meeting land or wind hitting earth. That thin band across the middle feels like a breath—a break in the atmosphere. It’s abstract, but rooted in the natural world. I think of it as a study in elemental balance.
