#16 Cold Wax on Birchboard.
This artwork makes an immediate statement with a vivid surge of chartreuse—a bright, almost electric green that dominates the upper half like a flash of raw sunlight. The surface is richly textured, alive with subtle tonal shifts into yellow and pale white, giving it both intensity and nuance. Below, the composition plunges into a bold contrast: a heated terrain of deep orange and earthy red, streaked with bursts of green and soft chalky white. A thin, blurred boundary between the two halves creates a sense of movement and tension—like heat rising through a vibrant field. The result is a charged abstract landscape: equal parts luminous and grounded, playful and powerful, where color itself becomes the subject.
